BIKE RACE AT BURKEMOUNTAIN

   The first annual Burke Mountain Bike Race will be held Saturday, September 8. The day begins at the Sherburne Base Lodge at 9 a.m. with a 3.7-mile race to the summit of BurkeMountain via the toll road. An awards ceremony will be held at the lodge following the race. A full day of family-friendly events will take place that highlight the sport of biking, the Kingdom Trail Association (KTA) mountain bike trail network, and the greater NortheastKingdom community. In the afternoon there will be a KTA annual meeting followed by a barbecue celebration to honor the landowners and sponsors of the trail system at 2 p.m. at DarlingMemorial Park on Route 114 in East Burke.
