In District Court -- Orleans man denies arson charges
Police say an Orleans man beat up the woman who provided him with an alibi for his whereabouts during an arsoncaused fire. But Dale T. Crews Jr., 24, of Orleans appeared in Orleans District Court to plead innocent to a felony charge of first degree arson and to misdemeanor charges of domestic assault and disorderly conduct-fighting.
In Holland -- School board regroups after tie budget vote
For the second time in as many years the members of the Holland School Board have to to revise their budget. The latest setback followed a 57-57 tie on an Australian ballot vote of the proposed $1,005,072 elementary school budget.
Logger faces over $500,000 penalty
The state is seeking more than $500,000 in penalties against a New Hampshire man and his son whose heavy cut in a remote area of the Northeast Kingdom allegedly violated the terms of their enrollment in the Current Use program.
